still a bit lost? let’s dial this in.

does any of this sound a bit like you?

  • You don’t want loads of posed photos or anything too cheesy, tacky or awkward.

  • You’re down to earth and relaxed and aren’t generally a fan of having your picture taken.

  • You want someone that focuses on the emotion of the day. Those real moments that make up who you are.

  • You want a photographer that really cares about your wedding. Someone who get’s in the thick of it. Who’s easy going and fits in with your friends and family.

  • You don’t want the same traditional photos that everyone else has. You want something punchy and raw - filled with emotion and loads of fun.

  • You want someone to capture the real essence of the day - not someone else idea of what should be or what it should look like.

  • You want a visual keepsake that you can relive again and again for years to come - or to pass down and experience anew through young eyes.

  • You think real, honest moments beat carefully curated perfection every time.

  • You definitely, definitely don’t want to arrange your whole family into a giant heart shape in a field or pose under a white umbrella in the rain.

THIS IS WHERE I COME IN - (shocker)

I’m Shaun. I live with my partner Louise in a tiny little cottage right in the middle of Woburn Sands.

I am absolutely passionate about wedding photography. I struggled for many years trying to force myself into moulds that wouldn’t fit and for a long time I thought I was cursed to be an unfulfilled office worker forever. But at the tender young age of 30, after a strange sequence of events, I shot my first wedding.

And then I was hooked.

I’m inflicting this self-indulgent waffle on you because I want you to understand how important each and every wedding is to me and how that effects you. This isn’t just a job. It’s a lifestyle. A way that I can express myself and do something that matters. To live a life instead of just existing within one.

And it’s you and your trust in me that makes that happen. I want to repay that.

I will always give you 110%. I’ll pour my heart and soul into providing you with the best possible wedding photographs that I can. These pictures that I create for you are my mark on the world and your once in a lifetime memories. I take that seriously.

quickfire round

  • Will dance after tequila.

  • Will do an awkward two step before.

  • Embarrassingly stuck in the early 2000’s pop punk era.

  • I travel a lot which is great. But it’s mostly because of work and being mercilessly dragged everywhere by my other half. This is a good thing because otherwise I’d probably regress into a reclusive, video game playing gremlin.

  • If I walk past a dog in the street I always give it a little smile so it knows I’m being polite. If I don’t I feel rude.

  • I’m weirdly good with cats.

  • Had an identity crisis at 33 and tattooed my whole right arm and hand black. So that’s there forever now… It’s also sort of blue tbh.

  • Going out for a curry is the pinnacle of fine dining.

  • Love a bit of live music and a dingy rock venue. Best show I ever saw was GreenDay at The Bowl in 2005. I cried.

  • I still own the stuffed bear I was given on the day I was born. He’s called Yogi, still sits on my bed and is 37 years old. I’m immune to the shame so don’t start.

  • Favourite TV shows are Breaking Bad and It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia. Peep Show is up there too. ‘I’ve accidentally run to Windsor!’

  • I am a master of Karate and Friendship - for everyone.

"Shaun was everything we wanted in a wedding photographer. You can see real personalities and genuine emotion in all the pictures he takes. FAQ

  • I photograph your day as it happens without any preconceptions. From the moment I arrive until I leave in the evening I’m on the hunt for interesting moments, creative compositions, beautiful light and ideally a mixture of all three.

I don’t ask anything from you other than you enjoy your day and you get busy making all these cool moments happen naturally.

  • Typically I start at the beginning of bridal prep and keep shooting more or less non stop until somewhere towards the end of the night. I won’t leave before capturing a good chunk of the party and generally will stay later if there’s lots happening.

  • Yes definitely. I’ll shoot pretty much anywhere.

  • Yes I do group shots. It’s not the primary focus and I recommend that you only do a few of them - maybe 5 or 6 so it doesn’t cause too much disruption. Generally we would enlist the help of a member of the bridal party to round everyone up and then blast through the photos in 10-15 minutes, if that.

In my experience getting them done isn’t a big deal and can sometimes actually be a bit of a laugh!

So it’s probably worth it just to keep mum and dad onside even if you’re not fussed about them yourself.

    But it’s up to you!

  • Not portraits in the traditional sense but we can absolutely get some nice relaxed pictures of the two of together.

We’ll take half an hour or so to have a nice walk around the venue. I’ll leave you to just hang out and i’ll take some lovely natural pictures as you do.

I might occasionally ask you to go stand in a specific spot or in some nice light but that’s it.

  • I do shoot details but it’s not the main focus. I’ll take artistic photos of the venue and I’ll take some time when it’s quiet to get some pictures of the table setting and cake etc.

For the most part I like to take pictures of the details in context. So you holding the bouquet or cutting the cake for example.

I won’t be hanging the dress in a tree or balancing your rings on random objects.

  • No don’t worry about it. I’ll always bring a smoothie and a couple of sandwiches. I’m more than happy with that.

Buffets are fair game though! And I might pop up in the queue looking for a cheeseburger if you have a BBQ…

  • I aim to get the photos to you within 4 to 6 weeks with some preview images much sooner.

You’ll get access to the photos via a password protected link to an online gallery that you can share with friends and family. I’ll also send you a cool little box of 6x4 prints in the post as an added bonus.

  • Yes fully insured. Professional, public and personal liability insurance. I bring four cameras with me to each wedding. Two are attached to my belt or hung around my neck at all times, one is in my bag and I keep a final emergency camera in the car.

  • That’s awesome. Just get in touch using my contact form on this site. Normally I can give you a call so we can talk things over first but if you want to skip ahead and just get the booking in quick leave me your email address and name and I’ll send you over a booking form and digital contract to sign. Once that’s done and you’ve paid the £200 booking fee your date will be secured!

“He made us feel so at ease and he felt like one of our guests.”

“Shaun captured so many moments I didn’t even realise were happening! We couldn’t recommend him more, our photos are just amazing and are the perfect reminder of our wedding day.”
